Wolverhampton wandering up the league
Wolves after a 13th place finish last season, are currently going well in eighth after a shaky start under new manager Bruno Lage where they lost four of their first five matches.
Since then, they’ve put together a five-match unbeaten streak, winning matches against Southampton, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton during that run. However, a 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last time out put an end to that run.
However, despite being one of the form teams recently, Wolves have only kept two clean sheets in 11 Premier League matches with none of these coming in their last five. None of these clean sheets have come at home. Lage’s men will have some work to do to keep out a rampant West Ham attack.
“As a team, everything has gone so well and I feel happy, confident and content here. To be playing European football in a fantastic stadium in my eighth season at West Ham, it’s going well!”

Moyes’ stock rising
After West Ham’s sixth place finish last season, the Hammers currently sit in third place, just three points off league leaders Chelsea with some Manchester United fans now questioning why David Moyes wasn’t given the same patience Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given.
West Ham have won four Premier League matches in a row, capping this off with a 3-2 victory over Liverpool before the international break, while also coping with the rigours of Europa League football, currently topping their group.
West Ham are playing exciting football currently, with only Chelsea and Liverpool hitting the back of the net more than the Hammers. Several attackers are contributing to West Ham’s rich vein of form in front of goal.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Ham United predictions
Wolves haven’t kept many clean sheets so far this season. They also haven’t scored many goals, scoring just 11 goals so far with only four of these coming at Molineux. However, those four goals have come in their last two home matches, coinciding with their good recent form.
West Ham themselves have only kept three clean sheets all year but the difference has been their ability to score goals, over double the number of Wolves in fact (23). Wolves have started firing, West Ham always have been, these teams don’t keep many clean sheets, we recommend backing both teams to score.
Wolves started the season badly; they’ve then corrected this before losing last time out to Crystal Palace. Whether this is the start of another bad run and Wolves are going to be a patchy team remains to be seen. However, West Ham are in such a good run of form lately and cannot be ignored. We recommend backing West Ham to win.
