10th placed West Ham will take on 16th placed Burnley in this Premier League matchup for Saturday. West Ham raised their tally to 26 points after a very good away win at Everton. Burnley meanwhile had a very tough match and lost to Manchester United at home keeping their points steady at 16.
West Ham
David Moyes will hope his team continues the winning form of their last two matches. After beating Everton on new year’s day, The Hammers qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup by winning in Stockport. Two tough away wins must give them good confidence. They have scored just 4 goals in the last 5 league games though, 3 of them at home. Moyes has to work more on his attacking tactics considering his team hasn’t beaten Burnley in their last 3 matchups. Pressure will be on their top scorer Tomas Soucek with 5 goals and Jarrod Bowen to bring the smiles on The Hammers’ fans’ faces.
Burnley
The clarets had a very good game against now league leaders Man United. Manager Sean Dyche was satisfied with his team’s performance and thought they deserved at least a point. Burnley has to be careful from losing more points as they are just 5 points above the relegation zone with Fulham who played 2 matches less than the Clarets eyeing any Faux Pas to catch up. Manager Dyche’s team must turn on their focus to the maximum as they are not allowed to lose any more points.
Verdict
Both teams are not very high-scoring teams especially in the last 5 matches, thus we don’t think we will see a goal galore in this one.
Verdict: Under 3.5 goals
