Hammers look to rebound quickly
After Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City, West Ham have lost two league games in a row for the first time since April. They are still in the top four, but the chasing back is closing in.
West Ham were not disgraced in any way in losing to Man City, but they must get back to winning ways against a Brighton side winless since late September to avoid slipping down the table before the busy Christmas period.
However, Brighton will make it tough for them as despite no wins in eight games, six of these have been draws, indicating that while Brighton are struggling for goals, they’re very tough to break down.

Winless in eight
Brighton travel to West Ham on Wednesday night winless in their last eight Premier League games. If there is any source of encouragement during that spell it is that only two of these games have been defeats.
The inability of teams around them such as Wolves, Tottenham and Manchester United to put together winning streaks means that Brighton still finds themselves unbelievably in eighth place.
However, what must be of the utmost concern is Brighton’s inability to put the ball in the back of net having scored just five times in their last eight league matches and 12 goals in 13 league games overall.

Though West Ham are on a two-game skid currently, we believe they will turn this around against Brighton. The Hammers have too much to offer in attack and believe they will wear down Brighton in the end to claim all three points.
Due to the conflicting statistics for each team on the over/under 2.5 goals market it is difficult to predict whether this will go over or under. However, we believe West Ham are capable of scoring over 1.5 goals themselves, this is priced at 10/11.
