West Ham will be stinging from their weekend defeat, yet this is going to be something of an occasion. As they prepare to play their final game at Upton Park, and with the #FarewellBoleyn hashtag now widely used, one might expect the fans to be a party mood. One suspects, however, Wayne Rooney – the player to have scored the most for Manchester United against the Hammers – will be out to spoil it.
Goalkeeper Adrian is the only notable absentee while Manchester United will be without Matteo Darmian, Marouane Fellaini and potentially Anthony Martial. Although United would love to pip their neighbours I think West Ham will have enough to win.
Slaven Bilic has worked wonders at the club, and is urging his players to embrace the much-talked about tie, rather than tremble under pressure. While United are desperately chasing fourth, West Ham have their own European dream to keep alive. They are a generous 3.20 with William Hill, to do so.
