Both semifinals have obvious favourites. All the fans can already imagine Neil Robertson and Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final match. If you like sensations you can try to bet on underdogs with handicaps or even without them. But I have no doubts in these two favourites because of their level of play.
Neil Robertson plays more solidly than Mark Allen. He’s higher in rating and have a positive balance in their face to face matches (9:3). I have fewer doubts in Ronnie O’Sullivan’s win against Joe Perry. We don’t need any stats except for one: their face to face score is 12:2. It says it all. We can take O’Sullivan’s win with handicap -3.5 because his level is extremely high now.
