Having struggled for large parts of the current campaign, Valencia have turned a corner in recent weeks, winning each of their last three and doing so in good style. In contrast, Sevilla, who were very impressive during the first half of the season, have wobbled somewhat of late and could find it hard to keep tabs on their free-scoring hosts here.

In recent weeks, the goals have been flowing for the Bats and they’re fancied to keep firing them in. ‘Valencia to Score Over 1.5 Goals’ and ‘Valencia to Score Over 0.5 First Half Goals’ are two bets that are worth supporting ahead of this one.

Over the last month or so, Valencia really have hit their stride from an attacking point of view, finding the net on 11 occasions during their last five. Voro’s side, having scored at least twice in each of their last four La Liga fixtures, are playing some attractive football and are looking a real threat in the final third. Their variety of attacking options, that include the likes of Munir, Orellana and Santi Mina, are finally starting to gel and things have very much clicked in a forward sense over the last few weeks – better late than never. Given Sevilla’s recent defensive woes, the forward-thinking hosts are expected cause plenty of damage.

Although they’ve looked good for the majority of the campaign, Sevilla’s form has certainly started to wane of late, while they’ve rarely looked the surest side defensively, especially on their travels. Sampaoli’s men come into this fixture having conceded in four of their last five and have conceded at least twice in three of those. On top of this, having shipped a rather alarming 25 goals on the road this season, the Andalusians have often struggled to keep teams out.

The visitors are an attacking outfit, but it’s often the case that they’re caught out on the counter. Considering they’re very much a top four side, the fact that Sevilla have conceded at least twice in eight of their away matches this season is a bit worrying. However, from a punting point of view, such stats bode well and are likely to fill the hosts with plenty of confidence.

It’s also been commonplace for Sevilla to concede an early goal when playing on the road during this campaign. Sampoali has seen his side concede at least once during the first half on eight occasions away from home, while Valencia have found the net before half time in nine of their home matches, as well as in four of their last five.

At this moment in time, Valencia look a side on the up and have a number of attacking players in hot form. Given their recent run, it would be no surprise at all if they were up to notching a few more against a visiting rearguard that has tended to leak goals on the road.
