We need to make good numbers, just like snooker players do. In my predictions on the Championship of Champions I had a frustrating result after the first day – 0:3. After that I had to improve my status. Now I want to begin with only two bets. The worst we can get is 0:2. With the score 1:1 we will make a profit because the rate of the bets is higher than 2.00. If we win both bets it will give a confidence boost.
Here it is a special bet on wins – with the enhanced odds as the bookmakers say. One simple accumulator have a rate 2.57, but we can have it with 2.75. Why should we miss that? I have no doubts in wins of Mark Davis, Martin Gould and Anthony McGill. It’s more complicated with the game of Tom Ford and Scott Donaldson. Two years ago at Wuxi Classic Scott have won 5:1. And the numbers of drawing were much more different at that time – 21 to 83. And now it is 53 to 76. Between now and then the Scott gained some positions in classification and the Englishman on the contrary lost 32 table rows. For a wonder it seems that Tom is playing better now. Maybe it’s a result of Tom’s excellent performance in Riga, when he reached the final. In other words I have faith in Tom so here is my accumulator.
My second accumulator bet is on the wins of my personal favourites who can be top guns during the whole tournament. I think Ding will not lose more than three frames. And we can’t doubt a likely win of one of the world leading players over the amateur who has just played a couple of seasons. I also think that John Higgins will defeat another amateur with the score like 6:2 or with bigger points spread.
