Twente vs Ajax: A dangerous trip for the visitors

A midweek fixture in the Dutch Eredivisie round 16 as Twente Enschede at 6th position with 27 points host league leaders Ajax Amsterdam who have 35 points. It is a very important match for both teams, Twente needs the 3 points to stay close to the top teams for a chance to play in Europe next season and Ajax will fight for the 3 points to stay on top of the league.

Manager Ron Jans will hope that his attacking style of play will be able to grant him the 3 points against the best Dutch team. Twente will rely heavily on the likes of Danilo, Cerny and Menig. With 19 goals scored between these 3, all eyes will be on them whether they can deliver the 3 points for the home side. They are winless in four straight home games though and they have to work very hard in this match to do better.

Ajax

The Amesterdammers had a very tough game on Sunday for the top spot against PSV and they had a great comeback after they were 2 goals down. But the Dutch champions have lost some momentum in the last 5 matches winning just 2 of them. Manager Erik Ten Hag knows that it is a difficult trip for his team having in mind that they lost to Twente at home 1-2 in the 1st leg of this season.Ajax will have to show that they are of champion-caliber if they want to win this one.
