Slovakia’s 2:1 win against Russia gave them an excellent chance of qualifying from Group B after a poor display against Wales on matchday one and a win against England would guarantee them a place in the last 16 possibly at the expense of the English.
However, England are currently undefeated at the tournament so far and sit top of the group on four points so even a draw would book them a place in the knockout rounds of the tournament, although they do need three points to win the group.
Roy Hodgson’s men are the favourites, and rightly so given their superior squad. Despite this, I feel it could be a close game. We have not seen many high-scoring games at EURO 2016 so far and I think this will follow the same pattern of being low scoring with it being a tense affair.
There is no real value in backing England for a simple win so I would go for England to win 1:0, 2:0 or 2:1 at 7/4.
