Newcastle United haven’t really been as hot as they were last season but of course that’s mostly because of the caliber of teams they’ve played in their previous five, expect them to follow up the Brentford win with a win here as well.
Callum Wilson is having a good scoring season for Newcastle and is their top scorer for the season so far, with three goals in five games. Being their main man you’d expect he’s most likely to get a goal against the newly promoted Sheffield United.
Sheffield United, another new team in town, finding out just how brutal and unforgiving the Premier league can be, they are currently winless like their promoted counterparts. Sitting in 17th on the log, with just one point from their five games so far (W0, D1, L4), and looking very likely to lose here as well.
Newcastle United had a brilliant season last time out that saw them qualify for the Champions league, and even started the season in blistering form with a 5-1 smashing of Aston Villa, but have since struggled to find that spark and resilience in defense that took them so far last season, although two clean sheets in their last two games in all competitions show they are getting there.
Sheffield: Foderingham, Robbinson, Ahmedhodzic, Basham, Thomas, Hamer, Norwood, Souza, Davies, Bolga, Acher,
Newcastle: Pope, Trippier, Schar Botman, Burn, Longstaff, Gumaraes, Anderson, Almiron, Wilson, Gordon
