Top-3 Predictions for Saudi Arabia vs Oman

Bookmaker Ratings prediction one: Saudi Arabia Win or Oman Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 1.54

Bookmaker Ratings prediction two: Saudi Arabia -1 Goals Handicap – 1.59

Bookmaker Ratings prediction three: Two or Three Total Goals in The Match – 1.90

Saudi Arabia Win or Oman Win and Under 3.5 Goals

Saudi Arabia are the clear favorites to win this match with odds of 1.37. To fatten the odds and profit, we will back the combo bet of double chance and under 3.5 goals. Four of Saudi’s six group matches in the third stage saw under 2.5 goals. Hence, we think the probability of this bet is quite high.

Saudi Arabia -1 Goals Handicap

In the last two h2h meetings, Saudi Arabia won by one or more goals. Also, Saudia’s five wins in the group were by one or more goals. The importance of the game will definitely keep Saudia Arabia on the offensive. As a result, we expect the hosts to win by two goals.

Two or Three Total Goals in The Match

Despite the fact that most of the Asian qualifying games are low-scoring affairs, we think in this match we might see at least two goals. Oman have an outside chance of finishing third and they might go for a win in this match which might open up the game.

Preliminary review and match prediction for Saudi Arabia vs Oman

Saudi Arabia find themselves in pole position in the race to qualify for the World Cup in neighboring Qatar. It is very important for the Saudis to be present in a World Cup that is being played in the  Arabian Gulf region. Consequently, the Greens will take the opportunity of playing at home and grab all three points to get even closer to the finish line.

In their last ten World Cup qualifying matches, Saudi Arabia won nine and drew one making them one of the best teams in Asia in terms of form. Coach Herve Renard needs his attacking players to be in their best form. Saudi Arabia have an average of 1.5 goals in the last six WCQ matches which is not very impressive but nonetheless, they are at the top of the table.

Starting the third stage qualifiers with a surprise win away to Japan, Oman grabbed four points from their next five matches. That put the Reds in fourth position and four points behind third-placed Australia.

With still four rounds to play, coach Branko Ivankovic will approach the match against Saudi Arabia with a counter-attacking strategy. Surely, that was very successful against Japan in the first match and earned them three points. Hence, securing defense and hitting the Saudis on the counter will be Ivankovic’s main plan.

Safe Bets

Saudi Arabia’s last seven of eight matches in all competitions saw under 2.5 goals. In the last three away matches, Oman scored one goal per match. There is a 55% chance according to statistics for this match to see fewer than three goals. Therefore, with odds of 1.70, backing under 2.5 goals can be a safe bet.

Quick Rich

In the last five h2h meetings in all competitions and friendlies, Saudi Arabia won twice, Oman won once and twice there was a draw. With the double chance for a draw or Oman win paying offering odds of 3.13, we think it’s worth backing it for a quick profit.

Saudi Arabia vs Oman Highlighted Player

Saleh Al-Shehri scored Saudia’s three of nine goals in the third stage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The 28-year-old forward has played 13 games with the senior national team and scored seven goals. He has been a regular starter in recent matches as coach Herve Renard relies on the Al-Hilal striker in his offense.
