An interesting game awaits us in Prague. Samantha Stosur made it to the final at Roland Garros a few years ago, but failed to win the title. I wouldn’t say clay suits her the most, but the Australian certainly looks good on this surface. She’s got a very unpleasant slice shot from the left hand, which can cause her opponents a tremendous amount of problems.
The tournament hasn’t been very easy for Stosur, she had to play all three sets against Cîrstea at the start. But having carved her way through she is now a dangerous opponent for a any player to face.
The Australian is now up against Barbora Strycova, who’s having a very good season. The Czech easily brushed aside both Govortsova and Cepelova in two sets.
In my opinion, if playing to near her best, Stosur has enough about her to win. But the Czech player is very hard to fight against, and, although Stosur can get the better of her opponent, it will likely take three sets. Therefore the best bet is to back this one to go all the way to three sets.
