I can’t see this being a goal-fest as some people might think, and in my opinion over four goals is unlikely. As we remember, the 1st leg ended with a goalless draw, so it must be something supernatural if we see a lot of goals tonight.
We saw a scoreline of 3:2 at Santiago Bernabeu on Seprember 18, 2012 in the group stage of the Champions League. But today such a scenario seems unlikely. Gareth Bale can save the game vs Rayo Vallecano or Real Sociedad, but Man City are a different proposition. Maybe Cristiano Ronaldo will help Bale to crash City’s defence.
In five home Champions League games Real Madrid have five wins and have conceded zero goals. This is why it is hard to look past a Real win, and I think Zidane’s men should have enough about them to get the win, but I don’t expect them to do so with a flurry of goals. Real Madrid to win and under 4.5 goals looks a good bet to be on.
