There are no two ways to put it here: Barcelona are the overwhelming favourites and rightly so. The Catalan giants have regained the winning thread, having thumped both Gijon & Deportivo, and are back on track for successive league titles as they sit top of the Primera. Given how they brushed aside their last two opponents it looks as though the visitors will have no difficulties in defeating Real Betis, who are in 13th place with nothing to play for. Of course, everything and anything can happen in a football match, but I really can’t see anything other that a resounding Barcelona victory.
Luis Enrique’s team need three points to secure their lead and as the league is their only focus there is no need to save themselves or rest players. One thing we can say is that Barcelona haven’t been the best at the back this season, and although they’ll likely score several they are just as likely to concede a goal on the break, and in front of their own fans I can see Real Betis scoring. It is on this basis that we go for Barcelona to win and both teams to score at 2.25.
