After a 3-0 win over the Hungarians, the Portuguese lost 2-4 to the Germans. A draw in this match will probably be enough for the Portuguese to qualify as second in the group or as one of the best third-placed teams among all the groups.

Whilst the Portuguese are incredibly strong in attack, they are severely lacking in defence, and were outplayed against Germany.

The French were only able to secure a surprising 1-1 draw against the Hungarians. Although they are widely regarded as the favourites to win the tournament this year, they are not playing at the level that many expected, especially in attack.

The forward trio of Killian Mbappé,Karim Benzema and Antoine Griezmann is not yet bearing the fruits that the French expected. Karim Benzema, has been notably below his best in the first two games.

The French will certainly been keen to avenge their defeat to Portugal in the final of the 2016 edition of the tournament.

The Portuguese have Christiano Ronaldo, but if his teammates are unable to keep up, it will be difficult for him to do much in this match. We predict a victory for France.

With players of such quality on the pitch it is hard to believe that this game will not afford both teams plenty of chances. We think there could be more than 2.5 total goals in this match.
