Not only does this match see two black and white striped teams from the division come together, it is also a match-up between League Two’s top goalscorers; Jon Stead and Omar Bogle.
Former Premier League striker Jon Stead has certainly found his form in League Two this season and has four goals to his name. His minutes per goal ratio is 100 which is almost a goal per game. Manager John Sheridan will be delighted he has a reliable striker who is bound to score in most games this season. Additionally, nearly half of Stead’s shots have been registered on target this season which shows his accuracy.
However, these statistics pale into insignificance when you look at Omar Bogle. The former Birmingham City youngster has been on fire for newly-promoted Grimsby Town, even though the team itself is struggling a bit.
Bogle’s minutes to goal ratio is just 77 – the best in all four Football League division. 71% (10 out of 14) of his shots have been on target – second only to Josh Morris of Scunthorpe United in League One throughout the whole Football League pyramid.
You have probably guessed what I am going for here. Stead to score anytime at 9/4 and Bogle at 7/4. We’re talking about two in-form strikers who will be looking to strike while the iron is hot.
