Nick Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal will play their tenth career match and it will be in the semi-finals at Wimbledon. Strange as it may seem, they’re getting a pretty hard-fought encounter (3-6). The last four meetings since 2019 have been extremely hard-fought, as each of them involved an exchange of sets.
Kyrgios is having his best career Grand Slam performance to date. To recap, Nadal has competed seven times at Wimbledon since 2012 and has never reached the final. Only in 2018-19 did he reach the semi-finals, but he had nothing to offer Djokovic and Federer.
Nick Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal will face each other in the semifinals of Wimbledon. The game will start on July 8 at 15:30 UK time.

Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction One – Handicap (+1.5) for Nadal – 1.92.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Over 41.5 – 1.87.
If Nadal appears on the court, it will mean that there is nothing wrong with his health. In this case, he will only play to win. Rafa has been successful against Kyrgios. In his last three matches, for example, he defeated Kyrgios. Even so, Rafa has a good chance of beating Nick.
In the last four head-to-head meetings, the tennis players have exchanged winning sets. It’s unlikely to change much now. Both are eager to play in the final, so we expect a battle.
Kyrgios reached the semi-finals at a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. He is also the lowest-rated Wimbledon semi-finalist since 2008. Nick is currently ranked 40th.
In the quarter-finals, Kyrgios beat Cristian Garin (6-4б 6-3б 7-6). It was a tightly-fought match.
Kirgios’ powerful serve and classy backhand were the keys to the match. Garin cannot compete with Nick in this respect.
Kyrgios’ toughest match so far was the fourth-round match against Brandon Nakashima (4-6, 6-4, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2). Brandon only gave up in the fifth set, but before that he played at least as well.
Kyrgios has achieved victory in four of his last five matches against top-10 opponents.
Nadal, meanwhile, will play in the Wimbledon semi-finals for the eighth time.
In the quarter-finals, Rafa had a real thriller match against Taylor Fritz (3-6, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6)
Despite the fact that Nadal only overpowered Fritz in the tie-break fifth set, hardly anyone can deny that he played an outstanding match.
Once again Nadal did the nearly impossible, despite the injury. This time it was his abdominal muscles that were bothering him. Of course, not everyone believes that Nadal was playing with an injury, but in fact, as the match progressed, you could see that he often found it difficult to make the first serve.
At one point Nadal was even thinking about withdrawing, but still, he persevered.
All in all, an absolutely brilliant game that had the audience jumping out of their seats repeatedly in admiration. Here it is important to note that Fritz also showed incredible tennis, but it was still not enough to beat Nadal.
Nadal has won his last 19 meetings at the Grand Slam tournament level.
