Bookmaker Ratings Prediction One: Lille to Win – 1.76
Bookmaker Ratings Prediction Two: Over 2.5 Goals – 1.64
Bookmaker Ratings Prediction Three: Correct Score Group 2-1 or 3-1 or 4-1 – 3.90
Lille to Win
Lille have won three of their seven Ligue 1 games since the start of the season. Toulouse meanwhile lost their last two away games. In the last meeting with Toulouse, Lille won by 3-0 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Over 2.5 Goals
Lille’s games this season are mostly high-scoring ones. To illustrate, six of Lille’s seven Ligue 1 games ended in over 2.5 goals. Likewise, four of Toulouse’s seven matches also produced the same number of goals.
Correct Score Group 2-1 or 3-1 or 4-1
All of Lille’s three wins this season were by one of the suggested scores. Moreover, Lille conceded at least a goal in all of their Ligue 1 matches this season. In their last three defeats, Toulouse conceded two and three goals.

Lille OSC
Three wins after seven league fixtures somewhat encapsulate the mid-table hoodoo Lille have found themselves in ever since Christophe Galtier left the club after their 2020/21 title triumph. And the early signs suggest Paulo Fonesca’s side are conceding too frequently to seriously mount a charge for European places, with only three Ligue 1 sides having let in more than the 15 goals they have across the opening seven game weeks.
‘Les Logues’ have also begun to assemble a pretty abject home record stretching back to last season, with just two wins in their last nine league games at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans since early April, with Fonesca recently admitting he’s becoming “a bit frustrated” with recent results and defensive incapacities.
Toulouse
Toulouse’s 1-0 victory over Reims on Sunday was a welcome return to winning ways for Philippe Montanier’s side, who had lost their three league games prior. Their only other domestic victory and clean sheet this season interestingly came away from home with a 3-0 drubbing of Troyes in game week two.
Despite having the edge in recent H2Hs between the two sides (W2, D1, L1), Montanier’s men will justifiably be considered underdogs on Saturday, especially as they lost 3-0 on their last visit here in 2020.
We predict Lille will be the better team in this match and have the capability in attack to secure all three points. With that said, we expect a high-scoring game and for Lille to secure all three points.
Jonathan David joined Lille in 2020 and appeared 82 times for the Ligue 1 side. The 22-year-old Canadian scored 32 goals since then and is looking in great form again this term. Since the start of the season, David was on target four times and we expect for the Canadian to score anytime in this match.
