Antonio Conte rested many of his players for the defeat to the Republic of Ireland having already confirmed their first place finish in Group E. This of course means the Italians should be well rested for the Mediterranean derby against Spain who let a lead slip against Croatia to push them back to second in Group D.
This game should be a good game and tactically interesting for the neutral. The Italians, as per usual, will look to put the emphasis on Spain to break them down. Of course the Italians are the masters of defending so if anybody can stop the Spaniards, it’s them.
However, I am not convinced that the Italians will have enough going forward to trouble the Spanish too much. Overall I think this result will be too close to call so have gone for a half bet with the first half to end 0-0 at 11/10.
