Swiatek reached the final of the WTA 1000 tournament for the fourth time of the season.
In the quarterfinals, Iga Swiatek beat Bianca Andreescu (7-6, 6-0). After the first set, which Swiatek tennis player took only on the tie-break, there were thoughts that, there will be at least one more very tense set ahead. Ons Jabeur, meanwhile, reached the final at her second major tournament in a row. Last week, she took the title in Madrid. Swiatek, by the way, did not play there due to a shoulder injury.
On Saturday, Ons again showed her strong character. In a semifinal match against Daria Kasatkina (6-4, 1-6, 7-5), the tennis player from Tunisia got off a match ball in the third set and then promptly broke.
