Hertha Berlin v Frankfurt Betting Tips: Visitors look overpriced in the betting

Having now lost two on the spin, albeit both somewhat unexpectedly and undeservedly, Frankfurt face the tough task of travelling to face a Hertha Berlin side who’re coming off the back of a very respectable 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich.

With the hosts being in decent form at the Olympiastadion this season, it would be reasonable to assume that they’re the team to be with in this fixture; however, several of their results have reflected far too kindly on Hertha and they face a Frankfurt side who, despite losing their last couple, are no mugs.

Considering Hertha have won just one of their last five in the Bundesliga, they probably don’t warrant such favouritism here. At the prices, siding with the visitors on the ‘Draw No Bet’ market makes plenty of appeal.

They might have clung on to a point against a misfiring Bayern Munich side last time out, but this isn’t the sort of game where Hertha will be able to simply sit back and soak up the pressure. It’s likely that they’ll be forced out and could quite easily come unstuck in doing so. After all, Pál Dárdai’s men had lost three of their last four, conceding seven goals in the process, prior to that draw against the league leaders.

The visitors did lose last time out, but considering they were hindered by both a missed penalty and a first-half red card, punters shouldn’t read too much into that result. Their overall form on the road this season has been respectable and this is quite easily the sort of game where Niko Kovač’s men could flourish. Only two teams in the Bundesliga have conceded less goals on the road than Frankfurt have this season – if they’re capable of replicating the defensive solidity that has already lead to them keeping four clean sheets on the road, then there’s every chance that they can profit against a Hertha side who’ve not been the hardest to get at in recent weeks.

Neither of these two come into this fixture in great form, but it would appear as though the home side have been largely overestimated in the betting. With this in mind, coupled with the fact that the visitors are a better side than they’re generally getting credit for, backing ‘Frankfurt Draw No Bet’, at 15/8, is the way to play this one.
