Those crazy Italians were extremely good against Spain and their victory was absolutely deserved. In fact their win could’ve been far more emphatic as they could’ve score more than two. They left a lot of emotions there on the pitch. And now it’s Cold Math vs Emotions. And I think that the German pragmatism can defeat any opponent. The Germans are a tough side for Italy to face, regardless of the fact that they lost to them in 2006 and 2012. The current Germany team can get a favourable result here just as they did against Slovakia. No one can fault the Germans, they are still yet to concede a goal at these finals and they really are excellent in defence. It’s hard to look past their victory here.
The Italians benefited from their rested players against Spain – won’t have that luxury this time – and they put in huge effort in the Round 16. This could have taken it’s toll and therefore it could be hard to find everything required for the upcoming game. I like them, but now I can’t see Italy moving forward and reaching the semis. We can take Germany to win in 90 minutes at 13/10 with William Hill.
