These two sides have vastly different aims this season with Doncaster Rovers looking to secure promotion to League One by winning the title whilst Accrington Stanley are simply looking to stay in the Football League.

Doncaster are still top of the League Two table with a three point cushion despite failing to win any of their last four matches. However, in terms of the last eight games, they are one of the most in form sides in the division having taken 15 points.

Darren Ferguson’s men certainly like to focus on attack and it is no surprise that they have scored an incredible 61 goals in just 32 league matches so far this season and have failed to score on just two occasions. As you might expect from a team who are so intent on going forward, they can be a bit dodgy at the back and have conceded 38 goals – the third-worst in the top seven.

Donny have been brilliant at home this season and are yet to lose a league match at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Accrington missed out on automatic promotion only on goal difference last season and it seems they have not recovered as they are now way down in 19th and just four points above the drop-zone. Stanley are in need of consistency at the moment and they just cannot find it with just two wins in their last seven.

John Coleman’s side are the complete opposite of Doncaster and are currently the league’s lowest scorers with just 32 goals to their name. Defensively though they are not too terrible and sit about halfway down in the ‘Goals Against’ table with 42 against.

Whilst Doncaster have been fantastic at home, Accrington have been terrible away with just 13 points taken from 15 matches on their travels and they’ve have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four away matches.

Doncaster are rightly the favourites here and I will certainly be backing them. With the simple Doncaster win badly priced, ‘Doncaster Rovers to Win and Over 1.5 Goals’ at 6/5. The hosts should have far too much for this Accrington side, especially at home, and are expected to record a convincing victory.
