With all due respect to Crvena Zvezda, we have absolutely no faith in the Serbians’ success. The Catalans, of course, occasionally slip up, but they don’t do it very often. In the previous game, Jasikevicius’s charges lost to Valencia, so now we can expect more quality from them. We think they’ll have no problem with the Serbs.
Barcelona is a rather slow team. The Catalans pay a lot of attention to defending their ring, so they are unlikely to change their tactics. Crvena Zvezda’s attacking line-up is not strong enough to break down the visitors’ defence.
Crvena Zvezda has benefited from the change in their head coach. Under Dusko Ivanovic’s leadership, they have won several important victories. In the Euroleague, for example, the Serbs defeated Partizan, Zalgiris Kaunas and Virtus Bologna. Thanks to that victory, the Belgrade team left the drop zone and moved up to the tenth spot.
In addition to the Euroleague, Crvena Zvezda also enjoyed success in the Adriatic League. In that tournament, the Serbs sit in second place, and in recent matches, they have managed to take on Mega Basket (92:58) and Borac (86:57).
