After eight years, Nick Kyrgios has again made the quarter-finals at Wimbledon. Remember that in 2014, he made a big name for himself by beating Rafael Nadal. Since then, however, Nick has only made one more Slam quarter-final and that was in 2015 at home AO, where he lost to Andy Murray. However, it is now that Nick seems to be in incredible form and has an excellent chance of reaching the first semi-final. For that to happen, he needs to deal with Cristian Garin, who was not expected to be in the top eight on the London courts in any way. Cristian Garin and Nick Kyrgios will face each other in the semifinals of Wimbledon. The game will start on July 6 at 16:30 UK time.

Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction One – Handicap (+5.5) for Garin – 1.80.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Over 36 – 1.85.
Kyrgios has been too unstable recently. This is a chance for Garin. If Garin plays the way he did against De Minaur, he should not lose by a wide margin.
Kyrgios was not at his best in his last match. Victory over Nakashima was very difficult. It’s unlikely Nick can do any better after that battle.
Cristian reached the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in his career.
It was easy to assume that one day he would do so at Roland Garros, on the clay, on his familiar surface, or even on the hard court, but not on grass.
After beating Alex De Minaur (2-6, 5-7, 7-6, 6-4, 7-6) in the fourth round, Cristian declared that grass is his favourite surface from now on.
Against Alex, Garin battled back from 0-2 down in the sets and two match points in the fifth set.
He was trailing 3-5 in the deciding tie-break but won seven points out of eight. All in all, something unbelievable.
Before that, he defeated Elias Ymer (6-3, 7-5, 6-4), Hugo Grenier (6-3, 6-1, 6-1) and Jenson Brooksby (6-2, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4).
Kyrgios, meanwhile, reached the quarter-finals at the Grand Slam for the first time since 2015 and his second time at Wimbledon.
Nick also had a five-set battle on Monday as he defeated Brandon Nakashima (4-6, 6-4, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2).
Kyrgios had shoulder pain throughout the match, causing him to focus only on the game this time, unlike in his encounter with Stefanos Tsitsipas. In the match against the Stef (6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6), all Nick did was provoke his opponent with his behaviour. Nakashima was much luckier in this regard.
That said, Nakashima hardly expected Kygrios, despite his shoulder discomfort, to have such a strong run in the deciding set.
Interestingly, Kyrgios has never lost a five-set match at Wimbledon.
In 3 of the Kyrgios’ last 4 battles, the tie-break has been played. We offer to bet on “Tie-Break – Yes” with the odds of 1.50.
