Pressure on Chelsea
By the time Chelsea face Everton on Thursday night, they will be five points behind leaders Man City who dispatched Leeds comfortably on Tuesday 7-0.
Chelsea has suddenly started to concede goals, having conceded eight in their last three matches in all competitions, with at least one coming after 80 minutes in each of these games.
Thankfully for Chelsea they’re still scoring goals and you would expect them to be able to outscore Everton.

Benitez back under pressure
After a brilliant 2-1 win over Arsenal a week gone Monday, normal service resumed on the weekend as Everton were defeated 3-1 by Crystal Palace.
With seven losses out of the last nine and only Watford below the Toffees in the six-game form table, there was resounding discontent aimed towards boss, Rafa Benitez, at the weekend, raising questions about how long he has left to turn things around.
Despite showing relegation form currently, Everton are seven points away from 18th but for a side who should be challenging for Europe this season has been underwhelming so far.
Chelsea vs Everton predictions
Apart from the win over Arsenal, Everton are in dismal form, and we can’t see a way how Everton can get anything from this match.
We expect Chelsea will win comfortably but the 2/9 odds given are short. A Chelsea win and over 2.5 goals is priced at 3/4 and we predict this will happen.
We also believe that due to the lack of goals Everton score away from home that Chelsea can do what Man City last month against Everton – win by at least three clear goals. The -2 handicap for Chelsea is priced at 9/5.
