Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction One – Handicap (-3) for Garcia – 1.63.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Under 21 – 1.87.
Victory over Swaitek clearly gave Garcia confidence. In the semi-finals, she did not see any resistance from Paolini. Importantly, however, Caroline didn’t put in much effort on the eve of the final. Bogdan looked very unsure about her serve in her semi-final battle with Baindl. With such a game, Ana is unlikely to have a chance in the final.
In the semi-finals, Garcia allowed Paolini to score only three games. We reckon in the prediction that Bogdan will not offer serious resistance to Caroline.
Caroline Garcia has a chance of winning her second trophy in 2022. In June, she won the grass tournament in Bad Homburg.
In Warsaw, the former world #4 managed to beat Iga Swiatek (6-1, 1-6, 6-4) in the quarter-finals. After that success, Garcia was able to defeat Jasmine Paolini (6-1, 6-2) in the semi-finals. Such a victory allowed her to save her strength on the eve of the final battle. It should be noted that in three of her four matches in Warsaw, Caroline beat her opponents by a margin of more than three games.
Caroline Garcia has won seven of her last eight matches as a favourite.
Ana Bogdan was not expected to reach the final in Warsaw. However, she has clearly caught the momentum and made her way through the tournament.
Ana had beaten all her opponents 2-0 in sets. She had a difficult time in two matches though. In the beginning, it was a tight match against Nuria Parrizas-Diaz (6-4, 7-6). In the semi-finals, she defeated Kateryna Bayndl (7-5, 7-5). Only in games against Katerina Siniakova (6-0, 6-4) and Laura Pigossi (6-1, 6-1), did she have no problems.
In Garcia’s three previous matches, less than 9.5 games have been played in the first set. We offer to bet on “1st Set Games – Under 9.5” with odds of 1.61.
