Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction #1: Handicap (+1.5) maps for RSG – 1.81.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction #2: Total Maps – Over 2.5 – 2.28.
Team RSG will be able to take at least one card in this clash, so this is my main prediction for this fight.
I think the teams will play on three maps by the end of the match.
The BOOM Esports team has been one of Asia’s most formidable forces throughout the DPC cycle of the 2021/22 season. The team won the winter round, in the second spring round, due to a mistake in the first game (got those loos for not showing up for the match), became the vice-champion, and still went to the majors, where the guys performed rather mediocre, for 9-12 place is not what, without the presence of Chinese teams, the Filipinos hoped for.
Ahead of the final third summer round of the regional league, the BOOM Esports line-up was, expectedly, unchanged. And why break what works. But the game is far from perfect as it was in January this year.
What is the phenomenon behind RSG’s success in its debut season? Firstly, the specifics of the region. If we take all three regional leagues in the 2021/22 season, we see a trend of elite debutants breaking into the top 4 of the region. In the winter it was SMG players (4th place), in the spring it was Polaris Esports (4th place) and now it’s RSG, and let’s be honest, not far behind them are fellow debutants from Talon.
The RSG players were able to wow the community by beating T1 (2-1) in their debut match in the elite. The debutants had a very difficult start to the calendar, as their next game was against Fnatic (1-2) in which the boys were also able to prove themselves, although they lost in the end. Games with the leaders of the region showed that RSG is a strong team and at least will not stand for relegation to the second division. The previous Division Two champions Polaris Esports (2-1) and Team SMG (2-0) also failed to defeat RSG, so after their success against Nigma Galaxy SEA (2-0), the elite debutant secured the top spot in the top division.
