Krejcikova has won 11 of her last 12 matches at the WTA250 level.
Magdalena Frech had a memorable performance at Wimbledon. In London, she managed to reach the third round. After that success, she had not played anywhere on the tour before starting in Hamburg.
In Germany, Magdalena played in the first round against Anna Kalinskaya (6-1, walkover). After the first set, Anna withdrew from the match. One could say that Frech made it through to the second round without a fight.
Frech lost in the second round in Hamburg last year.
