Back to the drawing board for Villa
Steven Gerrard experienced his first loss in charge of Villa, though it isn’t exactly a shock that this came at the hands of Manchester City.
City did all their scoring in the first half winning the match 2-1. However, Villa should be encouraged that they held City scoreless in the second half and also won the second half.
Villa face another tough test this time at home to Leicester City currently in eighth place after an indifferent start to the league.

Main man Maddison
Leicester have collected four points from a possible six in their last two matches. While also winning in the Europa League just over a week ago.
This run of form has coincided with James Maddison’s return from injury. Since returning, Maddison has contributed two goals and two assists in the Premier League as well as scoring and assisting in the Europa League versus Legia Warsaw.
Maddison’s return appears to have come just at the right time to spark a top four challenge with the likes of West Ham on the slide.
Aston Villa vs Leicester City predictions
We believe given the high amount of goals conceded by these two sides that there will be goals in this one. Since Maddison’s return Leicester can’t stop scoring, Aston Villa have also scored a respectable 12 home league goals in their seven matches.
We predict that over 2.5 goals will come in. Leicester have scored a good amount of away goals and in general are a side who have balanced scoring in the first and second half. Due to this we predict that Leicester will score in both halves.
