Surely this is something we’ve all come to expect when these two teams meet these days, as they both are very good attacking sides, City having scored 17 goals in the league this season with Arsenal not far behind on 15 goals so far. Both teams have also managed to score at least one goal each in four of their last five meetings in all competitions.
Arsenal followed up their two-all draw with Tottenham with back-to-back wins in the league recording two clean sheets, a shock defeat against Lens in the UEFA Champions League will probably have raised little concerns, but that can be put down to the distraction the City game might have brought. Arsenal might be in the form of their life but their recent clashes with City haven’t really been great, they have recorded no 90 minutes win in their last nine attempts in all competitions. Arteta’s would like to end that woeful record and improve on their seventeen points and current 3rd position.
Arsenal: Raya, Zinchenko, Gabriel, Saliba, White, Odegaard, Rice, Havertz, Jesus, Nketiah, Saka.
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake, Gomez; Nunes, Alvarez, Silva; Silva, Haaland, Foden.
This game will be played at the Emirates Stadium (London).
Kick-off time is 16:30 GMT. 08.10.2023.
