Liverpool are being linked with a move for Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.
The club is in serious need of midfield reinforcement as some players now looks aged, lacks the energy and loses the ball too easily in the field.
Jurgen Klopp have previously declared interest for a lot of midfielder even before the World Cup commenced with the Brighton star Moises Caicedo and Borussia Dortmund Man Jude Bellingham being his top target.
Liverpool have also made moves for several midfield options this summer which includes Brighton’s Marc McAllister, Barcelona’s Frankie De Jong, Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez and so on.
Now Liverpool are expressing an interest in signing Thuram. The Reds have included the 21-year-old in their list of potential midfield targets. Liverpool have reportedly held talks with Thuram over a potential move.
Thuram is a Fabinho-like presence and could prove to be a perfect long-term heir to the Brazilian in defensive midfield. The Nice star is tall, capable of winning aerial duels and second balls and has the passing skills to satisfy Klopp.
21-year-old Khephren Thuram has also played at centre-back in his young career – just as Fabinho has done in the past for the Reds.
The Anfield fans always hope the manager makes the right choices out of the available options in the market. Liverpool fans will literary cry just to see Jurgen Klopp sign at least one good midfielder in this January transfer window.
