The decision to part ways with former manager Hansi Flick came after a dismal 4-1 home defeat to Japan in a friendly match. This loss marked a low point for the German national team, prompting the DFB to seek a change in leadership.
The first choice to replace Flick was none other than Liverpool’s esteemed manager, Jurgen Klopp. The DFB had set its sights on the charismatic coach, hoping to capitalize on his tactical brilliance and experience.
