UFC president Dane White has shared his expectations for the title fight between welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Britain’s Leon Edwards.
“Edwards deservedly got a title fight. He is incredibly talented. The whole welterweight division is now overflowing with talented fighters.
So I think it’s undeniable that Kamaru Usman is the greatest welterweight in history.
Usman is in his second round beating guys who are incredible fighters. This is not some faded division where there is only a champion and no one else. This division is home to some real killers,” believes White.
The fight between Usman and Edwards will headline UFC 278 in Salt Lake City on August 20.
“I have no idea where that is”. Edwards – on taking the Usman fight to Utah.
