Argentian could set up defensive tactics ahead of a crucial game against France on Sunday in the Qatar World Cup final.
There are suggestions claiming that Argentina could start with five defenders against France in the Qatar World Cup final on Sunday, according to reports.
Argentina and France are evenly matched and many would love to admit that a game as big as the World Cup final could be decided by fine margins.
According to Diario Ole, Argentina manager Scaloni practiced with three centre-backs that includes Romero, Martinez and Otamendi on Friday in their preparations to face France on Sunday.
The last time Argentina played with three centre-backs was against The Netherlands in the quarter-final and they needed the penalty shootout to edge the Dutchmen after the game ended 2-2 in the regular time.
Elsewhere, Manchester United defender Raphael Varane trained with France’s first team on Saturday and he’s now in contention to feature against his team-mate Lisandro Martinez after recovering from an illness.
And that’s obviously going to come as bad news for Argentina as La Albiceleste would rather prefer to face a weakened France team in a bid to boost their chances of winning their third World Cup.
