France will face Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday and their chances of winning have been improved by the availability of Raphael Varane.
France have received a huge boost in their attempt to beat Argentina in the Qatar World Cup final after Raphael Varane trained with the squad on Saturday upon fully recovering from an illness.
Varane and some of his team-mates were doubts for the WC final against Argentina after they missed France’s training sessions as a result of illness.
It was reported this week that some of France’s first team players contracted a virus after their 2-1 win over England in the quarter-final.
Some hours ago, the likelihood of Varane featuring in the World Cup final was unattainable due to his illness but reports emerged today that the Manchester United defender is in line to make his second World Cup final appearance.
The former Real Madrid defender was pictured training with his team-mates on Saturday ahead of France’s game against Argentina on Sunday.
The 29-year-old is an important member of Didier Deschamps’ team, having started in all but one of France’s Qatar World Cup matches.
