When are Manchester United performing better with or without Cristiano Ronaldo?
This season isn’t going as planned for Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. In the summer transfer window, Ronaldo was rumored to be wanted to leave the club.
However, the window closed and the player stayed at United for the 2022/2023 season. Although, Ronaldo has been struggling to get minutes under Erik ten Hag and when United faced Tottenham during the midweek, the Portuguese star was left on the bench.
Towards the end of the game, Ronaldo didn’t wait for the final whistle and headed to the locker room before the game even ended. The Red Devils celebrated a 2-0 victory as Fred and Bruno Fernandes scored.
Following the game, United shared a statement on the 37-year-old stating that he will not be part of the United squad for their game against Chelsea during the weekend.
And now a stat has emerged showing that United have earned more Premier League points per game when playing without Ronaldo, via ESPN.
