Wimbledon has sent out a letter to players asking them to be more responsible about the food money given to them and their coaches.

Players are allocated £90 each day to spend at several restaurants on the tournament grounds. And one coach for each player is allocated about half that amount.

It is reported that they aim to spend the full amount, so for example, one of the coaches scored 27 yogurts in the evening.

As a result, the tournament has sent out a letter asking players and coaches to be more “judicious” about the money allocated and not to take on more food than they require.

However, it is noted that the tournament has no plans to reduce the allocated amounts and the reason for the mailing was not that the organizers were trying to save money.
