Manchester United beat Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday without the services of Harry Maguire.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire was not part of the squad that beat Burnley 2-0 on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.
And according to MEN, Maguire missed what was Man United’s first competitive game since the Fulham match in November due to an illness.
The England international didn’t train with the team this week despite returning to Carrington after his World Cup holiday ended on Monday.
In his absence, Erik ten Hag was forced to start Casemiro at centre-back alongside Victor Lindelof and the pair performed brilliantly.
Maguire could recover from his illness in time to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League next week.
