Liverpool have suffered another injury blow as Diogo Jota sustained an injury against Brentford on Saturday.

Jota is expected to be sidelined for two months after suffering an injury following a collision with Christian Norgaard.

The Reds celebrated a 4-1 win over the Bees on Saturday and continue to lead the league table.

During the game, Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez were also forced off.

Jota will undergo further scans on Monday and is expected to be out for the EFL Cup final against Chelsea.

As per Portuguese publication Record, has suffered cruciate ligament damage. They suggest that the injury is posterior rather than anterior ligament injury, and he is exoected to be sidelined for two months.

The report claims that the player has avoided “worst case scenario”, which would mean the player behind out for the rest of the season and potentially missing the EURO 2024.
