Chelsea announced the appointment of Graham Potter as their new head coach on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The Blues parted ways with Thomas Tuchel on September 7 following the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the opening Champions League group stage game.
Chelsea are currently 6th in the Premier League table with three wins in 6 games.
Potter was appointed as Tuchel’s replacement and signed a five-year deal with the Blues.
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has already shared his thoughts on the newly appointed Chelsea manager, having spoken about him last season.
“Brighton are a joy to watch, a joy to analyse. At the same time, when you see them you are concerned about their quality,” said Guardiola.
“We [Man City] will need to be at the highest standards and level to compete against them. I’m absolutely a big fan of Graham Potter.
“Everyone plays in their positions, the ball comes to the positions, players move with freedom and everyone knows what they have to do. They have the courage to play everywhere.”
