Fofana has been dealing with a knee injury and has suffered a setback during the Blues friendly win over Brentford in a behind closed doors game on Tuesday.
Chelsea prepare to return to action on Tuesday, December 27 with a Premier League game against Bournemouth.
However, the defender has provided an update on his setback. In response to the news on an Instagram fan page, Fofana wrote: “Nothing bad champion in not even one month we’re back to break everything.”
