Rashford was twice on target as United cruised to a straightforward win over Brendan Rodgers’ side, moving five points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, having played a game more.

Marcus is arguably in his best season having scored 24 goals in all competition for Manchester United, with 16 of his goals coming in 17 games after the world cup.

He has netted 17 goals for United in Old Trafford, the most by a player in a single season, after Wayne Rooney in 2011-12 campaign.

Erik Ten Hag’s men have two crucial fixtures ahead, a cup final against Newcastle, and knock out stage of the Europa league against Barcelona, Rashford has urged his team mates to put up their best performances.

According to him, United has everything to play for, and can not back down at this stage of the competitions. He says he is training really hard to maintain his scoring streak and helping the club achieve results.

Erik Ten Hags men are seeking their first cuo since Mourinho’s double in 2017, as they play Newcastle in the cup final in Wembley on sunday.

While Arsenal and Manchester City appear embroiled in a two-horse title race, United are quietly creeping up on the pair.

Rashford says all Ten Hag’s men can do is concentrate on themselves in pursuit of a first league title since 2013 under Alex Ferguson.
