Portuguese winger Bernardo Silva finds himself at a crossroads, yet to determine his next footballing destination for the upcoming season. As the 28-year-old Manchester City star’s contract enters its final two years, his outstanding contributions to City’s remarkable treble triumph last season have ignited interest from some of Europe’s most prominent clubs, as well as the Pro League in Saudi Arabia.

Pep Guardiola, the esteemed manager of Manchester City, is understandably reluctant to part ways with the talented Silva, particularly following the departure of Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona on a free transfer earlier this month. However, leading transfer expert and esteemed columnist Fabrizio Romano reveals that Silva’s future remains undecided at this stage.

Speaking on the recent Debrief podcast, Romano acknowledges the strong interest emanating from Saudi Arabia, stating,

“It’s true that there is significant interest in Bernardo Silva from Saudi Arabia. However, as of today, no concrete decisions have been made. Silva wishes to involve his family in the decision-making process, as he faces a compelling opportunity, primarily from Paris Saint-Germain.”

Romano goes on to shed light on the admiration the French champions hold for Silva, asserting that PSG maintains an excellent rapport with the player’s camp, making him one of their most coveted targets.

“Bernardo Silva features prominently on Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos’ wish list this summer. It comes as no surprise that they dream of securing his services. I am confident they will relentlessly pursue him in the coming weeks.”

During his impressive six-year tenure at the Etihad, Silva has established himself as an influential figure, contributing directly to an astounding 114 goals in 306 appearances across all competitions. With 82 international caps to his name, the Portuguese international’s stature continues to rise, further attracting the attention of esteemed clubs worldwide.
