Besiktas has officially made a bid to acquire Rob Holding from Arsenal.
Besiktas have made a formal approach to Arsenal in their pursuit of securing the services of robust center-back, Rob Holding.
The Turkish club has tabled an offer of €2.5 million for the English defender, which falls significantly short of Arsenal’s valuation and is therefore expected to be promptly dismissed according to report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Holding, who is 27 years old, finds himself in a surplus position at the Emirates, particularly following the recent arrival of talented Dutch defender Jurrien Timber.
With Holding currently possessing just one year remaining on his contract, alongside a club option to extend it by an additional 12 months, his future at Arsenal hangs in the balance. While the Gunners are adamant about holding out for a more lucrative bid, it is anticipated that Holding may encounter challenges in terms of securing regular playing time, given the depth of defensive options at the club.
It remains to be seen if Beskitas will return with an improved offer for the defender or Arsenal will accept the offer before them.
