According to Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Brighton and Hove Albion have rejected a second bid of £70M from Arsenal for 21 years old Moises Caicedo.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has taken another twist, as the Seagulls reportedly reject a second bid from the Gunners.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have submitted an offer of 70 million for the Ecuadorian starlet, following a previous bid of 60 million that was swiftly rejected.
Despite interest from the North London club and manager Mikel Arteta, Brighton appears determined to keep hold of Caicedo, who has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in English football.
Manager De Zerbi speaking on the Transfer saga said “I would like Moises to finish the season with us, but we are ready to go forward without him”.
“I respect his decision — I can’t be also the chairman, so we will see in the next days”.
Whether this means the Seagulls have no intention of selling this January or are simply seeking a record transfer fee remains to be seen. However, one thing is clear: the future of Caicedo will be a major talking point in the ongoing transfer window.
