Real Sociedad’s midfield maestro, Martin Zubimendi, has emphatically stated his unwavering commitment to the La Liga club, dismissing recent transfer rumors linking him with Arsenal and Barcelona.

Having represented the San Sebastian outfit throughout his entire senior career, Zubimendi has etched his mark with 138 appearances across all competitions since his debut in 2016.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful season under the guidance of manager Imanol Alguacil, featuring prominently in 39 matches thus far, thereby capturing the attention of several top European clubs ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.

In a recent interview with Marca, Zubimendi resolutely addressed the speculation, affirming his loyalty to Real Sociedad.

“I have never planned to leave Real Sociedad – I always say that. I love life here, at home, and I am immensely content. The values of this club align perfectly with my own, and as a result, I feel extremely satisfied. I’ve always stated that I am genuinely happy.”

Zubimendi’s remarks come barely a month after he expressed his contentment with life at Real Sociedad, dismissing the transfer speculation surrounding him. The gifted midfielder remains focused on his present commitments and seems unfazed by external distractions.

While Barcelona has reportedly identified Zubimendi as a potential replacement for the departing Sergio Busquets, who announced his departure from Camp Nou upon the expiration of his contract, the midfielder remains firmly rooted in his dedication to Real Sociedad.
