Tottenham are reportedly hopeful of securing the transfer of David Raya from Brentford at a reasonable cost.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish goalkeeper has impressed during his time in the Premier League and has attracted the attention of bigger clubs.
Spurs view the 27-year-old as a suitable long-term successor to current goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, whose future at the club is uncertain.
However, Tottenham are reluctant to meet Brentford’s £40 million valuation for Raya.
They believe that the asking price could be negotiable considering the player’s contract situation, as he is nearing the end of his current deal and has expressed his unwillingness to sign a new one.
