Leicester and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing English Playmaker James Maddison.
Tottenham Hotspur has joined the race to sign Leicester City’s James Maddison next summer, according to a report by transfer insider Dean Jones.
The North London club, currently sitting fifth in the table, has experienced a recent dip in form and aims to construct a title-winning team under the guidance of their new manager, Antonio Conte.
As per Jones, Maddison has been on Tottenham’s radar for quite some time, and they are reportedly showing a keen interest in the English midfielder. Furthermore, Tottenham is also said to be interested in signing Maddison’s Leicester teammate, Harvey Barnes.
While Jones believes that Maddison and Barnes will be on Tottenham’s list of potential targets, Leicester City will attempt to retain their players if they have a strong finish to the season.
However, Tottenham faces stiff competition from their North London rivals, Arsenal, who are also reportedly interested in signing Maddison. As a result, it may prove difficult for Antonio Conte to secure the services of the talented playmaker.
