Thierry Henry has spoken out on Joel Matip after his winner in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Ajax on Tuesday, September 13.
The Reds hosted Ajax in the Champions League group stage game on Tuesday and celebrated a victory as Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal meanwhile, Matip scored the winner after Mohammed Kudus had equalized for Ajax.
Following the game, speaking via CBS Sports, Henry said: “You are going to mention Van Dijk, and you’re going to mention Salah or Mane back in the day or Firmino. But he always comes and does a job and he often scores important goals actually.”
